Cosmic.io for Android
Privacy Policy
Effective July 31, 2026
Cosmic.io is a space survival game with optional public online multiplayer. We do not sell personal information. The game uses Google AdMob to display banner and occasional interstitial ads.
Overview
This policy explains how the developer of Cosmic.io ("we," "us," or "our") processes information when you use the Android game. Solo play works without creating a registered account. Online multiplayer uses Firebase services provided by Google.
Information we process
Data stored on your device
Cosmic.io stores your selected player name and color, best score, best mass, and related game preferences in local app storage. This information remains on your device unless it is included in an online multiplayer session.
Online multiplayer data
When you choose Multiplayer, Firebase Authentication creates a random anonymous user identifier. The game sends that identifier, your selected display name and color, lobby status, and gameplay state to Firebase Realtime Database. Gameplay state can include position, movement, mass, size, stage, score, alive or respawning status, match role, world seed, and timestamps.
Other players in the same public match can see your display name and current gameplay state as needed to render and rank the match. Cosmic.io does not ask for your real name, email address, phone number, or a private-room password.
Security and service data
Firebase App Check and Google Play Integrity may process app, device, and installation-integrity signals to help prevent abuse. Google and its Firebase services may also process IP addresses and technical logs needed to provide, secure, and diagnose their services.
Advertising data
Cosmic.io uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK to show banner ads and interstitial ads between game restarts. Google may process advertising identifiers, IP address, device and app information, diagnostics, and interactions with ads to deliver and measure advertising, prevent fraud, and comply with legal requirements. Depending on your region and privacy choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
How we use information
- Operate public matchmaking for matches of up to six players.
- Synchronize player movement, size, stage, score, and match status.
- Maintain local preferences and game progress on your device.
- Display and measure banner advertising.
- Protect the online service from unauthorized access and abuse.
- Diagnose reliability or security problems.
Data retention
Local scores and preferences remain until you clear the application's data or uninstall it. Online match records are designed to be temporary and are removed when the host leaves normally. Interrupted sessions may remain until operational cleanup. Firebase anonymous accounts are configured for automatic deletion after 30 days of inactivity.
Security
We use authenticated Firebase access, database security rules, encrypted network connections, and app-integrity checks. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we limit the information collected and restrict each player to updating their own online game state.
Your choices and requests
Multiplayer is optional; you may use Solo Run without sending match state to Firebase. Where required, a Privacy Options control appears on the main menu so you can review or change advertising choices. You may erase local information through Android's Clear storage control or by uninstalling the app. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of online data, use the developer contact email displayed on Cosmic.io's Google Play store listing. Because online accounts are anonymous, we may need technical details to locate a record and may be unable to connect a record to you without them.
Children
Cosmic.io is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us through the developer details on the Google Play listing.
International processing
Firebase may process information in countries other than your own. Those locations may have different data-protection laws. Google provides safeguards for its global cloud services.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the game or its data practices change. The effective date at the top will identify the latest version.
Contact
For privacy questions or data requests, use the developer contact email shown on the Cosmic.io Google Play store listing.
